Types of curves in Vertical Electrical Sounding
In Vertical Electrical Sounding, there are basically 4 types
of curves but in real situations in the field, we usually encounter situations
where these curves are merged to form a compound curve.
ρ1 < ρ2 > ρ3
…... K-type curve (maximum type)
Do you know the difference between schlumberger array and wenner?
ρ1 > ρ2 <
ρ3 ……
H-type curve (minimum type)
ρ1 > ρ2 > ρ3
…… Q-type curve (descending type)
ρ1 < ρ2 < ρ3
…… A-type curve (ascending type)
Some compound curves:
ρ1 < ρ2 > ρ3< ρ4
------ KH type
ρ1 > ρ2 < ρ3> ρ4
----- HK type
